
The
Christian Life Movement was founded by Luis Fernando Figari, a Peruvian layman, in 1985. He is also the Founder of
Sodalitium Christianae Vitae, the
Marian Community of Reconciliation, the
Servants of the Plan of God, and many other institutions known together as the
Sodalit Family. He is a prolific author and a renowned Catholic thinker. He has published many books and articles on different subjects, such as Christian spirituality, Theology of reconciliation, the social doctrine of the Church, Evangelization of culture, human rights and dignity, among others. Since 2002 he serves as Consultor to the
Pontifical Council for the Laity.
In October 2005 and October 2008, Luis Fernando Figari participated as an Auditor in the General Assemblies of the Synod of the Bishops on the Eucharist and on the Word of God in the Life and Mission of the Church, invited by H.H. Benedict XVI.
