From 28th until 30th of November, Bethlehem College held for the first time Convivio, a post WYD activity for high school students. 50 participants took part on the congress that reflected on Pope Benedict XVI’s words “Do not be afraid, He takes nothing away and gives you everything”.
In a joyful and festive environment, the students reflected about the challenges of nowadays world and how the youth has an important role on it. It was also an opportunity to go deeper in their faith and personal encounter with Jesus Christ.
The Congress had different activities such as talks, discussion groups, Eucharistic adoration, the Holy Mass, prayer time, and games. At the end of the weekend the students had the opportunity to commit themselves with the post-Convivio activities, community service and Convivio 2009 Committee, to organize the next Convivio. In this way the students will be able to keep the experience alive and invite others to be part of it.
The weekend concluded with the Holy Mass, celebrated by Bishop Julian Porteous with the participation of all the students, leaders and parents.
